About the position

This position involves tracking projects that are bidding, analyzing bid documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and writing job-specific proposal notes and qualifications. The role requires timely submission of cost estimates to the sales team for bidding purposes. The position is available in two locations: Smyrna, TN and Newnan, GA, with a relocation package offered.

Responsibilities

  • Track projects that are bidding
  • Analyze bid documents
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Write proposal notes and qualifications that are job specific
  • Submit cost estimates to sales for bidding in a timely manner
  • Perform comprehensive product take-offs
  • Obtain bids from vendors as required for specific elements of a project
  • Create project material proposals for distribution to Customers by Sales team
  • Develop extensive knowledge of products and manufacturing methods

Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience with stormwater/drainage/water quality/water resources
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans / blueprints, details, bid documents, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers
  • Working knowledge of ERP/Inventory Control Software, preferably Titan or StackIt
  • Familiarity with analyzing requirement data/documents to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a Team Environment
  • Proficiency in mathematics, drafting and/or data analysis
