About the position

The Estimator position involves overseeing multiple high-end residential roofing projects, focusing on design, estimating, owner selections, and execution. The role requires creating detailed estimates based on aerial roof reports and builder plans, ensuring transparency and excellence in customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed estimates for residential projects including shingle, tile, and metal roofing.
• Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
• Determine factors of production that will influence the cost.
• Maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system.
• Generate job cost reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors.
• Conduct hand-off meetings with assigned project managers.
• Present prepared estimates to management.

Requirements

• Florida roofing experience.
• Experience with The Edge estimating software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow.
• Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for residential projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
