About The Position

Bà ŒK Modern is an architectural metal systems company based in downtown San Rafael, operated by architects and industrial/product designers. We specialize in ultra-modern architectural metal systems for balcony guardrails, stair guard rails, wall screens, canopies and fencing among multiple other solutions. You will be participating in a wide variety of national and international landmark projects. Our products are contemporary and cutting edge. Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of estimating in construction, miscellaneous metal, or fabrication.
• Ability to review complex architecture drawings in AutoCAD and create a 'take-off' with measurements and specifications for project estimates.
• Excellent with numbers and proficient in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with architects, contractors, and sub-contractors to find technical solutions quickly.
• Knowledge of sheet metal or manufacturing process is a plus.
• Excellent project management skills: scheduling, budgeting, coordinating with multiple vendors.
• Excellent attention to detail and super organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Sales Force, CRM, Bluebeam.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read Revit and Solid Works drawings is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Solid Works is a big plus.
• An eye for design with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent ability to find solutions in challenging situations and communicate well with customers, contractors, and designers.

Responsibilities

• Help with project inquiries, estimating and pre-construction.
• Work with architects, general contractors, and installers to answer construction technical questions regarding product systems.
• Prepare bid packages.
• Develop and create construction detailing (i.e., mounting details) and assembly drawings.
