About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage costs. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and aligned with budgetary constraints, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
• Monitor project budgets and perform cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and changes in scope.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in estimating and project management.
• Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and pricing discussions.
• Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Knowledge of cost control measures and financial analysis related to construction projects.
• Proficient in using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to work on-site at construction locations as needed.
