About the position
The Estimator will lead the estimating team at one of New York's largest environmental abatement companies, which is expanding into additional services. This role involves reviewing, pricing, and bidding on various job offerings, leveraging the company's 35 years of experience and established relationships with clients and general contractors to secure medium to large projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating team in reviewing and pricing job offerings.
- Prepare and submit bids for projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and general contractors.
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to provide accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project costing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction or environmental abatement industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Nice-to-haves
