About the position
The Ethanol Operations Manager in Training role at The Andersons, Inc. is designed to provide hands-on leadership experience within the largest ethanol production facility in Ohio. This position involves rotations through various functions of the plant to understand the production strategy and develop essential leadership skills, with the goal of transitioning to a managerial position within 12-24 months.
Responsibilities
- Understand ethanol operations including production functions and co-products.
- Gain knowledge in managing a diverse team and financial planning, including budgeting and labor planning.
- Be willing to relocate to one of the four production plants based on business needs.
- Develop skills to enhance operational performance and meet production goals.
- Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the production team.
- Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in ethanol production and/or processing preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
