About the position

The Data Architect position is focused on designing and optimizing ETL processes and data engineering solutions within the Azure ecosystem. The role requires extensive experience in building large-scale ETL pipelines and ensuring compliance with data governance and security protocols. This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida, and does not offer remote work options.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize ETL processes for high-performance environments.
• Build and maintain large-scale ETL pipelines using Azure technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and architecture needs.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) within the Azure ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or four years of equivalent work experience.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Purview.
• Proven track record of building and optimizing large-scale ETL pipelines.
• Expertise in Spark, Python, and/or Scala for data transformations.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with complex data structures.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance and security protocols.
