About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior ETL / Data Developer to support government customers by designing and implementing data solutions that enhance capabilities and protect national security. This role involves working with a diverse team of professionals to develop ETL processes, manage data, and create business intelligence reports, contributing to the overall mission of securing critical information and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to manage data.
• Write complex statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views for business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.
• Develop ETL mappings to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Conduct performance tuning of ETL mappings to optimize data processing times.
• Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports and perform unit testing of these reports.
• Participate in all phases of the Development Life Cycle including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment of BI dashboards and reports.
• Create documentation to support the development life cycle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in ETL and data development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data warehousing and reporting platform concepts.
• Ability to recommend solutions and drive best practices in data management.
• Experience with Power BI, data analysis, data visualization, and big data technology.
