About the position

We are seeking an ETL Data Engineer with expertise in Snaplogic or Informatica to build and modernize our platform. This role is crucial for ensuring the integration of core data components with our enterprise-wide Universal ID initiative (UID). The engineer will leverage cloud-native technologies, particularly AWS, to develop frameworks and tools that enhance data management and contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences in financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and modernize the data platform.
  • Ensure seamless integration of core data components with the Universal ID initiative.
  • Develop innovative frameworks and tools for data management using AWS technologies.
  • Craft new solutions and re-platform legacy data products.
  • Validate, monitor, and resolve issues during development, testing, or production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Hands-on experience in data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on AWS using Python, Java, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, debugging, and tuning complex SQL statements.
  • Experience in Kafka Data Streaming or other streaming/messaging services (Kinesis, SNS, SQS).
  • Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.
  • Proven track record as a data engineer, crafting new solutions and re-platforming legacy data products.
  • Knowledge of multiple types of databases: Relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB, Elastic search), and Graph databases (Neptune, Neo4J).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze data from multiple sources and derive insights.
  • Ability to work effectively in global teams in an Agile environment.
  • Desire and ability to learn and implement new technologies.
  • Proven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Restful API development and container processing is a plus.
