About the position

The ETL Data Integration Developer II at L.A. Care Health Plan plays a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration solutions. This position is integral to ensuring that data is accurately and efficiently moved and transformed to meet business requirements. The developer will work closely with senior developers, technical analysts, and business stakeholders to create robust data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). The role requires a strong understanding of ETL concepts and methodologies, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. In this position, the developer will be responsible for integrating data from various source systems into the data warehouse. This involves developing and maintaining workflows, mappings, and sessions under the guidance of senior ETL developers or leads. The developer will also participate in unit testing, document test results, and maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and mappings. Additionally, the role includes providing support for ETL processes in production environments, assisting in resolving production issues, and performing root cause analysis as needed. The developer will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the IT Enterprise Data Management department.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate data from various source systems into the data warehouse by developing and maintaining workflows, mappings, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDMC under the guidance of senior ETL Developers/Lead.
  • Participate in unit testing and document the test results of the codes written at unit level.
  • Maintain documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and mappings.
  • Provide support for ETL processes in production environments.
  • Assist in resolving production issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field (or equivalent education and/or experience).
  • 4 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDMC.
  • 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining workflows, mappings, and sessions.
  • 2 years of experience in writing SQL queries.
  • 1 year of experience with JIRA tool.
  • Basic knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDMC.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Basic understanding of data integration and data quality principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Experience in the healthcare domain.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of AGILE development model.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data integration platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
