The ETL DataStage Developer will be responsible for implementing an ETL DataStage framework that facilitates incremental data loading while ensuring robust error handling and a basic audit framework. This role requires a deep understanding of existing Oracle Stored Procedures (SPs) for reverse engineering purposes, allowing the developer to effectively utilize and manipulate data within the Oracle environment. The developer will engage in Oracle Data Manipulation Language (DML) and Data Definition Language (DDL) activities, handling simple to medium complexity queries as part of their daily tasks. In addition to the above, the developer will leverage various DataStage components such as Change Data Capture (CDC) stages, join stages, lookup stages, and Oracle source and target stage connectors to develop jobs that meet the project requirements. A key responsibility will be to create DataStage Jobs, including both Sequencers and Parallel jobs, to facilitate the copying of over 100 tables from production to non-production Oracle databases. The developer will also be expected to independently develop and test ETL jobs, ensuring a thorough understanding of the requirement documents provided. This position is a long-term contract role based in Chicago, IL, and requires the developer to work onsite 100% of the time. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in DataStage, Oracle, and PL/SQL, with reverse engineering capabilities being a valuable asset. Familiarity with Control-M Scheduler is considered a good-to-have skill, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.
