About the position

We are seeking a Senior DataStage ETL Developer to join our team in Richmond, VA. This is a hybrid role that requires local candidates or those willing to relocate to Richmond due to the onsite work requirement. The contract duration is until June 30, 2025. The selected candidate will be responsible for working onsite 2 days a week for the first couple of weeks, and then 1-2 days a week thereafter. The contractor will need to manage their own parking arrangements through the Client Parking Management Office or find alternative parking solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the IBM InfoSphere/DataStage product line and will be skilled in data analysis, developing requirements, and creating data models. A strong background in Data Warehousing, Oracle PL/SQL, and MS SQL Server development is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in building interfaces between business applications and be familiar with Agile/Scrum processes. Knowledge of web service development, particularly IIB and/or ADF development, is a significant advantage. Clear communication skills, both written and oral, are a requirement as the role involves interaction with business users and developers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an ETL Developer with a focus on IBM InfoSphere/DataStage.
  • Strong background in Data Warehousing concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server development.
  • Experience in building interfaces between business applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Informatica (1 year preferred).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Background in web service development, specifically IIB and/or ADF.
