About the position

We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to build out and optimize specific components of our new hire automation process using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This role involves integrating web services and REST APIs, handling error management and logging, understanding database architecture, and performing DB object creation and maintenance. Additionally, experience with PowerShell to manage Active Directory changes within SSIS packages is essential. As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SSIS packages that automate and streamline the new hire process. You will integrate web services and REST APIs into these packages to facilitate data exchange and process automation. A critical aspect of this role is implementing robust error handling and trapping mechanisms within SSIS packages to ensure reliability and data integrity. You will also set up detailed logging to monitor package execution and troubleshoot issues effectively. Understanding the existing database architecture is crucial for ensuring seamless integration and data flow within the SSIS packages. You will perform DB object creation and maintenance, including writing and executing DDL scripts as needed. Furthermore, you will utilize PowerShell within SSIS packages to automate changes in Active Directory as part of the new hire process, developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to support and enhance automation workflows. Collaboration with stakeholders is key, as you will gather requirements and understand the automation needs. Documenting SSIS package designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps will be essential to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing among team members.

Requirements

  • Experience with database architecture and DB object creation/maintenance (DDL scripting).
  • Practical experience using PowerShell, especially for automation tasks related to Active Directory.
