Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to build out and optimize specific components of our new hire automation process using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This role involves integrating web services and REST APIs, handling error management and logging, understanding database architecture, and performing DB object creation and maintenance. Additionally, experience with PowerShell to manage Active Directory changes within SSIS packages is essential. Key Responsibilities: SSIS Development: Design, develop, and implement SSIS packages to automate and streamline the new hire process. Integrate web services and REST APIs into SSIS packages to facilitate data exchange and process automation. Error Handling and Logging: Implement robust error handling and trapping mechanisms within SSIS packages to ensure reliability and data integrity. Set up detailed logging to monitor package execution and troubleshoot issues effectively. Database Architecture: Develop an understanding of the existing database architecture to ensure seamless integration and data flow within the SSIS packages. Perform DB object creation and maintenance, including writing and executing DDL scripts as needed. PowerShell Integration: Utilize PowerShell within SSIS packages to automate changes in Active Directory as part of the new hire process. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support and enhance automation workflows. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the automation needs. Document SSIS package designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.
