As an ETL Developer, you will help ensure that today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by contributing to challenging projects and growing a rewarding career. GDIT is committed to being a premier provider of cyber security services, and your work will be essential in ensuring operational IT capabilities provide the client with the necessary timeliness, accuracy, and security of information demanded from all our highly professional roles. In this position, you will work with a team of systems engineers and software developers to specify, design, develop, test, and deploy the end-state system. The development process will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques, with inputs from multiple stakeholders. You will be required to communicate effectively with team leads and senior leadership, rapidly adjusting direction in support of new and/or changing requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining JAVA Microservices, integrating data from one system to another via REST API, and becoming an expert on an AWS data workflow that includes Lambda, S3, and other related technologies. You will also be responsible for ingesting and normalizing data from multiple data sources, developing technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, and participating in system integration and user acceptance testing. Additionally, you will write unit and integration tests, monitor applications in production, and participate in code reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain JAVA Microservices
  • Integrate data from one system to another via REST API
  • Become an expert on an AWS data workflow that includes Lambda, S3, and other such technologies
  • Ingest and normalize data from multiple data sources
  • Develop technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program management
  • Work with other enterprise service programs to leverage their capabilities via web services integration
  • Coordinate and/or participate in system integration and/or user acceptance testing
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Monitor applications in production
  • Participate in code reviews

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline
  • Required Experience: 6+ years
  • Knowledge of standard ETL tools, such as Pentaho, AWS Glue, etc.
  • Understanding of JAVA Microservices
  • Understanding of REST API
  • Understanding of AWS data workflow that includes Lambda, S3, and other such technologies
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph
