The ETL Developer at Loma Linda University Health plays a crucial role in the back-end development of data solutions, ensuring a robust information architecture design that spans multiple platform types, including operational, analytical, and reporting systems. This position is integral to balancing the need for data access with security, analytics, and performance requirements. The ETL Developer collaborates closely with IT and business teams to design and maintain the enterprise data model, which supports the overall enterprise data strategy. This includes designing, implementing, and executing changes to existing data models, as well as creating new data models that align with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) architecture strategies. In this role, the ETL Developer is responsible for designing and developing ETL solutions that deliver large-scale enterprise environment solutions. The position requires working alongside other ETL, Universe, and Metadata architects or developers to support the full delivery life cycle of EDW solutions. Additionally, the ETL Developer will design and develop Universe/Metadata and reports as needed, ensuring that all data solutions are efficient and effective in meeting the organization's needs. The role may also involve performing other duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the data management initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the enterprise data model supporting enterprise data strategy.
• Implement and execute changes to existing data models and create new data models congruent to EDW architecture strategies.
• Design and develop ETL solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with ETL, Universe, and Metadata architects or developers to support the full delivery life cycle of EDW solutions.
• Design and develop Universe/Metadata and reports as needed.
• Perform dimensional data profiling and ensure robust data interaction solutions.
• Analyze technical information and requirements to develop effective data solutions.
• Organize technical work and demonstrate excellent planning and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering required.
• Minimum three years of Business Intelligence experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Minimum four years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions for large applications required.
• Minimum four years of experience in SQL Query and Data Modeling required.
• Strong SQL Development Experience and Dimensional Modeling applying Star Schema and BI methodology.
• Experience with one or more ETL data integration tools (SSIS, Pentaho, Informatica, Data Services, Data Virtualization, etc.).
• Ability to analyze technical information and requirements to design and develop robust data interaction solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with clinical and financial terminology in healthcare.
