About the position

The ETL Developer position at The Christ Hospital Health Network focuses on collaborating with Data & Analytics teams to maintain and support Epic Cogito related systems, including SQL databases and BI reporting. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to ensure effective data integration and transformation, while also addressing data quality and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams for maintenance and support of Epic Cogito systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Implement data mappings, transformations, and data quality rules.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues.
• Develop and execute optimized SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Enhance existing ETL workflows for improved performance and scalability.
• Document ETL processes, data mappings, and configurations.
• Conduct testing and debugging of ETL processes.
• Stay updated with emerging ETL technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, preferably in healthcare.
• Epic data model certification in Clarity and Caboodle required.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and T-SQL.
• Minimum 1 year of ETL experience with Microsoft SSIS.
• Experience with healthcare reporting regulations and compliance.
• Experience with SFTP for secure file transfers.
• Experience with SQL Server Administration and security.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent Administration.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling (Star Schema).
• Familiarity with modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BusinessObjects.
• Strong analytic skills with unstructured datasets.
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure and Visual Studio.
• Familiarity with SSAS and SSRS.
