Horizontal Talent is seeking a skilled ETL Developer to join our client's inclusive and collaborative team in Lake Forest, Illinois. This contract Developer role offers a compelling pay rate for your expertise. The ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining SAP data models that will accelerate strategic decision-making within the RMDx business. You will play a crucial role in determining the most suitable model for each use case and assessing the overall model and self-service capabilities. In this role, you can expect to work on various tasks, including creating source-to-destination data mapping for data engineers to develop pipelines. You will establish the fundamentals for reporting by developing scalable data models that enable self-service reporting, accelerate insights, and improve actionability. Additionally, you will build and execute data models using SAP data and other sources as needed to report business analytics in Power BI. Your responsibilities will also include resolving and facilitating the resolution of problems, identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence, and troubleshooting production issues while conducting root cause analysis. The ideal candidate for the ETL Developer position will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent years of experience, along with at least 4 years of experience in IT as a Data Engineer or ETL developer. You will need to have technical experience with SAP, including at least 2 years in SAP BI, and SAP data modeling experience. Furthermore, you should have 4+ years of experience developing ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Data Flow, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Informatica, as well as 3+ years of experience with Databricks and/or Spark. A background in architecture, integration, data governance, analytics, and development is also essential. The ability to digest, analyze, and think through concepts from engineering through implementation and support is crucial for success in this role.
