About the position

TAYS is seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on designing custom ETL processes, analyzing data quality, and utilizing various scripting and automation tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development and a collaborative spirit, contributing to complex data warehouse projects while working closely with clients.

Responsibilities

• Experience working with complex data warehouse projects.
• Design custom ETL processes to populate the data warehouse.
• Analyze source data for potential data quality issues and address these issues.
• Use scripting (Shell scripting, Python, Java) and automation and DevOps.
• Prepare technical documents and presentations.
• Utilize Atlassian product suites, Git, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4+ years of combined experience with SQL, SQL Server, and/or PL/pgSQL.
• 2+ years of combined experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expert in Shell scripting including but not limited to regular expressions and automating tasks.
• Experience creating custom ETL using Python.
• High-level knowledge of various industry leading data warehouse components (databases, ETL tools, BI/reporting tools).
• High availability to support On-Call rotations for 24/7 Production database environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Ansible scripting.
• Experience with cloud environment, AWS.
• Database Administration (DBA) skills.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle).
• Active Public Trust or higher.
