About the position

Insight Global is sourcing for an ETL Developer to join a public sector IT organization, specifically within the Labor and Workforce Development organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enabling digital transformation for our partners through a global delivery model. Your responsibilities will include conducting independent research on technologies, recommending appropriate solutions, and providing technology-specific best practices and standards. You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Process. The role is structured as a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, and it offers a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days per week in Downtown Boston.

Responsibilities

  • Enable digital transformation for partners in a global delivery model.
  • Conduct independent research on technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Interface with key stakeholders throughout the Software Development Process.
  • Apply technical proficiency across different stages of software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the specialized focus.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Informatica IICS ETL.
  • Experience with other ETL platforms such as SSIS, ODI, and CDATA.
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data marts.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
  • Ability to lead validation activities for assigned modules across all types of testing (Functional, Integration, System, User Experience, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism, with the ability to interface between stakeholders and business users.
  • Good understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture.
  • Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, and Modeling of Unstructured Data.
  • Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks.
