We have an immediate opening for the below position with one of our premium clients. The position is for a Senior ETL Developer located in Washington, D.C. This is a long-term contract role that requires extensive experience working with crime data from the PremierOne CAD/RM system. The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for developing, building, and maintaining reports and data from the CAD/RMS system using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The role involves modernizing and transforming data to enhance the usability of reports and dashboards. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining SSRS reports based on business requirements, building ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a data warehouse or data mart, and collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements. Additionally, the developer will create and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation, develop and implement data cleansing and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and design and implement data models and schemas to support reporting and analytics needs. Monitoring and optimizing SSRS report performance and data loading processes, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SSRS reports, ETL processes, and data quality, and documenting technical specifications, data mappings, and ETL workflows are also critical aspects of this role. The Senior ETL Developer will provide technical support and training to end-users on SSRS reports and data access tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and maintain reports and data from the CAD/RMS system using SSRS and ETL processes.
  • Modernize and transform data to improve the usability of reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as an SSRS developer, ETL developer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database concepts, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development and data integration.
  • Over 5 years of experience working with Crime data from PremierOne CAD/RMS.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data normalization.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • PremierOne CAD/RMS Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
