About the position

The ETL Developer position is a long-term contract role based in Columbus, OH, requiring extensive experience in data integration and ETL processes. The developer will be responsible for designing and building data workflows, managing data provisioning, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of data management solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration within an Agile environment and includes mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data provisioning workflows/pipelines, physical data schemas, extracts, data transformations, and data integrations using ETL tools like Informatica and Talend.
  • Analyze, develop, and execute data integration solutions to manage the information lifecycle needs of the organization.
  • Design and develop programs and tools to support ingestion, curation, and provisioning of complex enterprise data for analytics, reporting, and data science.
  • Participate in and lead peer development and code reviews within Agile sprints, focusing on test-driven development and Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CICD).
  • Build data architecture and applications that enable reporting, analytics, and data management, improving accessibility, efficiency, governance, processing, and quality of data.
  • Continuously learn to maintain strong knowledge of technology enablers.
  • Mentor new and junior developers.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and recommend process improvements to enhance data reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Work in a dynamic Agile environment with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to develop creative data-driven solutions with ETL pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Informatica Power Center and Advanced SQL.
  • Good scripting skills in Shell and Python (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda and CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with any Enterprise scheduling tool; Talend is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and working with Scrum teams.
