About the position

The ETL Developer role at TX HHS involves the implementation and configuration of a data integration hub, focusing on the design, development, and automation of data acquisition processes. The position requires extensive experience in ETL processes, particularly using Informatica, and involves supporting and enhancing the data integration hub while ensuring performance metrics are met.

Responsibilities

• Configure the infrastructure for the data integration hub.
• Validate performance metric requirements.
• Create Epics, User Stories, and Tasks using agile methodology.
• Automate data acquisition from various data sources.
• Develop complex SQL scripts.
• Perform integration, load, and stress testing.
• Deploy/publish solutions internally and externally.
• Support and enhance the data integration hub.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing ETL processes using Informatica (IICS, IDMC, or Power Center).
• Experience acquiring and integrating data from sources like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF for Tableau visualization.
• Proficient in designing and developing efficient SQL scripts.
• Experience analyzing systems for data analytics, performance management, or data warehousing projects.
• Technical writing and diagramming skills (Visio, Erwin) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in planning and delivering software platforms across multiple units.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience with agile methodology and JIRA.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience writing well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• 4+ years of understanding security principles for healthcare data.
• Experience working with performance metrics or business intelligence systems.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• 2+ years of healthcare industry experience, including HHS agencies.
• Experience handling PII or PHI data.
• Experience developing Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, API, REST, SOAP).
