About the position

Intelligent Waves is seeking an experienced ETL Full Stack Developer to join their team in Reston, VA. This role involves developing and maintaining ETL processes to facilitate data movement to a data lake, while also contributing to software development in a fast-paced, agile environment. The position requires a strong background in software engineering and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to create innovative solutions for cloud migration and automation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to efficiently move data from source systems to a data lake.
• Create end-to-end solutions in a fast, agile environment.
• Maintain and update technical documentation for ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and improve systems.
• Utilize various programming languages and technologies to develop software applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development using agile methods.
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages, technologies, tools, and web architecture.
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, and software engineering.
• Proficiency in writing source code for new applications and enhancing existing code.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Git, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and API Development.
• Ability to develop complete solutions using both back-end and front-end languages.
• Ability to obtain 8570 Compliance Security+ certification within 6 months of start date.

Nice-to-haves

• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification prior to starting on contract.
• Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP.
• Experience with automated testing tools for testing and maintenance.
• Experience in acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
