About the position

The ETL Lead/Developer role focuses on leading and developing ETL processes, particularly with AWS Redshift and SQL. The position requires a strong background in data extraction, transformation, and loading from various data sources, as well as experience in data warehousing and SQL development. The role involves collaborating with product owners and business clients to clarify requirements and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of ETL processes using AWS Redshift and SQL.
  • Write SQL stored procedures for ETL tasks.
  • Utilize scheduling tools like One Automation to manage workflows.
  • Develop design specifications within defined architecture using standard procedures.
  • Interface with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Clients to clarify requirements.
  • Set up complex workflows and schedules for data integration.
  • Maintain and enhance existing ETL workflows and code.
  • Document installation and operating procedures for ETL processes.
  • Optimize queries and performance-tuning techniques for large-scale data warehouse environments.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in ETL development and data warehousing.
  • Strong SQL skills, with a requirement to take an online test.
  • Deep knowledge of ETL methods using Teradata.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Data Warehousing.
  • 5 years of experience with SQL Query Design in large-scale data warehouse environments.
  • 5 years of experience in data collection, database design, and report development.
  • Experience with Agile methodology in technical projects.
  • Good analytical skills and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UNIX programming.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Redshift migration.
  • Familiarity with Teradata Stored Procedures, BTEQ, and Utilities.
