About the position

SAIC's Space & Intel Business Group is seeking an ETL Software Developer to join a data engineering team in Chantilly, VA. This role involves developing software for data extraction, transformation, and loading, while ensuring the integrity and usability of data collected during operations. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and focuses on collaborating with various stakeholders to refine systems and meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Help architect and implement a framework for data processing.
  • Assess and validate system integration requirements across the organization.
  • Provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for data-related software systems.
  • Finesse cyber data models and maintain analytical applications.
  • Improve data integrity and usability through software development.
  • Develop and maintain software for various data formats into data models.
  • Implement strategies for securing sensitive applications and data.
  • Address enterprise auditing requirements and provide necessary documentation for A&A process.
  • Ensure mission applications are available for investigations and assessments.
  • Prepare artifacts for certifications and accreditations submissions.
  • Use Risk Management Framework (RMF) for system accreditation.
  • Utilize XACTA software for assessment methodologies and standards.
  • Interpret Nessus vulnerability scans and remediate issues.
  • Perform security analyses of network architecture and guide functional requirements development.
  • Coordinate accreditation and certification activities with stakeholders.
  • Maintain baseline functional and technical specifications for deployed systems.
  • Manage and update the master support schedule.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience; or Master's degree and 7 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and validating requirements for ETL systems.
  • Proficiency in developing software using Python.
  • Experience integrating new technology stacks into software systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NiFi, Kafka, Logstash, and SQL.
  • Experience building modular systems.
  • Understanding of the Cyber Security domain.
