About the position

The ETL SQL Developer will join the Technology Enablement team to create innovative software solutions that address complex challenges in various markets, including Transportation, Energy, and Real Estate. This role involves developing and applying advanced methods to design and implement software applications that enhance safety, environmental quality, and resource equity. The position is hybrid, with a preference for candidates working from the Orlando, FL office, and requires collaboration within an Agile Scrum team.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, conducts, and develops solutions to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Design and manage database schemas and optimize performance.
  • Document ETL processes, database schemas, data mappings, and transformations.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows and mappings.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, writes, edits, and implements complex software applications.
  • Proposes and implements standard software solutions.
  • Develops, designs, and edits original applications, or modifies third-party applications.
  • Serves as a technical leader for moderately complex software projects.
  • Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience required, 5+ years preferred.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server Management Studio and TSQL scripting.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (Cube), PowerBI, C#, and .Net Core with Entity Framework.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Experience with Agile Development practices and Git.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
