About the position

The ETL SQL Developer will join the Technology Enablement team at VHB, focusing on creating innovative software solutions that address complex challenges in the Transportation, Energy, and Real Estate sectors. This role involves leveraging the latest technologies and agile practices to develop software that enhances safety, environmental sustainability, and equitable resource availability. The position is hybrid, with a preference for candidates in the Orlando, FL office, and requires collaboration within an Agile Scrum team to design and implement complex software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, conducts, and develops solutions to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Design and manage database schemas and optimize performance.
  • Document ETL processes, database schemas, data mappings, and transformations.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows and mappings.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, writes, edits, and implements complex software applications.
  • Proposes and implements standard software solutions.
  • Develops, designs, and edits original applications, or modifies third-party applications.
  • Serves as a technical leader for moderately complex software projects.
  • Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience required, 5+ years preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive experience with relational database management systems, particularly MS SQL Server.
  • Proficient in TSQL scripting, DDL/DML, and Administration.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (Cube), and PowerBI.
  • Proficient in C# and .NET Core with Entity Framework.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves
