About the position

We have an opening for an ETL SQL Developer to join our Technology Enablement team. This role involves creating solutions that impact various markets including Transportation, Energy, and Real Estate. The position leverages the latest technologies and agile practices to develop innovative software solutions that address complex challenges. The software developed contributes to safer roads, a cleaner environment, and equitable resource availability. This hybrid position is preferred to be based in Orlando, FL, and involves working as part of an Agile Scrum team to develop and apply advanced methods for software development.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, conducts, and develops solutions to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Design and manage database schemas and optimize performance.
  • Document ETL processes, database schemas, data mappings, and transformations.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows and mappings.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, writes, edits, and implements complex software applications.
  • Proposes and implements standard software solutions.
  • Develops, designs, and edits original applications, or modifies third-party applications.
  • Serves as a technical leader for moderately complex software projects.
  • Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience required, 5+ years preferred.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server Management Studio and TSQL scripting.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (Cube), PowerBI, C#, and .Net Core with Entity Framework.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Experience with Agile Development practices and Git.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks independently and collaborate effectively.
