About the position

The Evening Operations Coordinator at Radford University is a part-time position responsible for overseeing the evening operations of the Teaching Resource Center (TRC). This role involves providing front-line customer service and resolving inquiries and requests for support from patrons. The coordinator will assist patrons in locating and checking out materials as needed, ensuring that the TRC operates smoothly during evening hours. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for providing access to spaces in Peters Hall, which includes locking up classrooms at the end of each shift. The position also requires assisting with the periodic setup and teardown of events held in the TRC or Peters Hall. The coordinator will document requests for evening IT support and provide basic classroom technology support as appropriate. This role involves working alongside and directing undergraduate student workers and graduate assistants, ensuring that all team members are effectively contributing to the operations of the TRC. The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with some flexibility in hours possible depending on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee evening operations of the Teaching Resource Center (TRC).

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate tasks and work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data.
  • Working knowledge of current office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and/or Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer service experience.
