About the position

The NOC Help Desk position at Insight Global in Tampa, FL, is focused on providing tier 2 network troubleshooting support within a Network Operations Center (NOC) that also serves as a call/support center for customers. The role involves handling escalated tickets and monitoring network performance, ensuring effective communication and customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 2 network troubleshooting support.
  • Handle escalated tickets from the helpdesk.
  • Monitor network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Assist customers with technical inquiries and issues.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to resolve problems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience within a helpdesk environment.
  • Good understanding of network troubleshooting, including connectivity and latency.
  • Understanding of ports, protocols, and IP addresses.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux commands.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working second shift: 3-11:30 PM Mon-Fri.
  • Experience with physical security systems (access controls, CCTV, cameras, etc.).
  • Data center experience.
  • IT certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+.
