About the position

CareGivers Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our team in Binghamton, NY. This position offers flexible evening shifts from 4 PM to 9 PM, allowing you to balance your work and personal life effectively. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in providing personal care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring they feel safe, clean, and refreshed. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily activities, preparing meals, tidying their living spaces, and ensuring they adhere to their medication schedules. This role is perfect for individuals who are dependable, caring, and have a genuine desire to help others. To qualify for this position, you must be a certified PCA, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). If you have at least three months of caregiving experience within the last three years, you may also qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class. We value flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to work as little as one shift a week or more, depending on your availability. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients, ensuring they feel clean and refreshed.

  • Ensure clients follow their medication schedules.
  • Run errands and shop for clients as needed, using a reliable vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified PCA, HHA, or CNA.
  • At least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years is preferred.
  • Must be caring, dependable, and meet health requirements.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
