This position requires a strong focus on brand activation, overseeing advertising and promotional activities across various media, including print, online, and direct mail. The manager will be tasked with managing all brand activation assets, including trailers, vehicles, and local warehouse assets, ensuring that these resources are utilized effectively to enhance brand visibility and engagement. In addition to managing marketing strategies, the Event and Activation Manager will develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies aimed at maximizing long-term market share. The role involves achieving satisfactory profit/loss ratios and market shares in relation to preset standards and industry trends. The manager will also be responsible for developing and managing sales and marketing operating budgets, ensuring effective control of marketing results, and taking corrective actions as necessary to meet marketing objectives within designated budgets. The position requires a proactive approach to market research, adjusting marketing strategies to meet changing market conditions, and monitoring competitor activities. Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners is crucial for success in this role. The manager will guide the preparation of marketing activity reports for executive management and ensure a consistent corporate image across all product lines and promotional materials. Furthermore, the Event and Activation Manager will direct sales forecasting activities, set performance goals, and oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs. This role also involves coordinating sales distribution, representing the company at trade association meetings, and assisting sales representatives in maintaining client relationships and negotiating deals. The manager will handle all aspects of event management, including negotiating terms with event venues and partners to meet service expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for products.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Manage all brand activation assets including trailers, vehicles, and local warehouse assets.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
  • Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
  • Direct product research and development.
  • Arrange publicity, handle special functions and complaints, and perform other duties to promote goodwill.
  • Handle all aspects of event management.
  • Effectively negotiate terms and conditions with event venues and partners to meet service expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in event and brand activation production.
  • Ability to review event-related creative outputs with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of event cost components.
