About the position

The Event and Marketing Coordinator at Gourmet Foods International is responsible for planning and managing corporate events, including food shows, seminars, and customer dinners across the country. This role requires a dynamic and organized professional who can create memorable experiences while assisting the Marketing and Graphics team with various projects. The position offers incredible travel opportunities and requires availability for nights and weekends during tradeshow season.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage corporate on/off-site events, focusing on impactful experiences.
• Lead the organization of tradeshows and other events.
• Source, negotiate, and book venues and vendors.
• Handle all logistics, including hiring decorators, catering, and A/V services.
• Oversee event budgets and spending.
• Develop and lead promotional strategies to enhance event engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an event manager.
• Skilled in project management.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds above the waist as needed.
• At least two years of related marketing experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Highly organized with a proactive 'can-do' mentality.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools and social media trends.
• Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once either independently or with teammates.
