About the position

Emerald is seeking an Event App Program Manager to support our digital event products team and assist Emerald's show brands with execution of their digital show components such as mobile apps and matchmaking. This role is responsible for assisting with the configuration of the mobile app and matchmaking elements through our partners web-based platform to ensure completeness of content, data, sponsorship presence and navigation, to deliver the application according to the launch schedule. This position can be performed remotely, but we prefer employees hired to be within a commutable distance to the Alpharetta, GA office location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end app implementation process.
  • Delegate work between event/show staff, platform provider staff, and event app resources.
  • Work with show teams to collect materials to build or augment customer profiles.
  • Upload graphics, media and data to the platform. Edit these materials when necessary.
  • Review customer data and show agenda data to relay missing or incomplete information back to show brand for correction.
  • Conform to brand guidelines to create navigational elements for both the mobile and web-based versions of the application.
  • Work with show marketing teams for use of proper language and labeling.
  • Perform quality assurance checks alongside show team to deliver an optimal customer experience.
  • Collaborate with show marketing to build out in-platform email sends and influence additional marketing to optimize user uptake of app.
  • Troubleshoot application issues as they arise and escalate to the proper people/groups for resolution.
  • Work with show floor mapping solution to ensure all locations match our customer data and are labeled correctly.
  • Support and guide show teams for components they must deliver for you to fulfill your obligations.
  • Assist with creation of best practices documentation and influence usage across show brands.
  • Understand and identify key app usage metrics and influence changes to implementation based on findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • Comfortable with digital tools and experience using web/cloud-based applications.
  • Should be comfortable working with spreadsheets and CSV files.
  • Have some experience with basic graphic edits- resizing, transparent backgrounds, file type changes.
  • Some HTML knowledge would be helpful as well.
  • An eye for user interfaces, visualization and understanding how a user would navigate a mobile application.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to spot inconsistencies and errors during review.
  • An effective communicator with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Organized multi-tasking capability. Ability to handle multiple shows and objectives at the same time.
  • A self-starter, good at working independently, but collaborative with group when needed.
  • Strong customer focus both external and internal. Able to work directly with customers when needed.
  • Ability to work successfully under tight deadlines, late changes and additions.
  • Solution thinker, able to suggest new/and better ways to accomplish work to streamline processes.
