About the position

The Event Assistant Trainee role is designed for individuals who are outgoing, self-driven, and enjoy engaging with consumers in both group and one-on-one settings. This position involves working at various retail marketing events to promote client products and services, while also participating in team meetings and training opportunities to develop professional skills and advance within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at various in-store retail-based marketing events aimed at generating brand awareness and revenue for clients.
• Communicate with consumers at local retail events to promote products and services.
• Participate in daily team meetings to discuss campaign goals, business development strategies, and new ways to increase brand awareness.
• Collaborate with fellow Event Marketing team members to expand campaigns that maximize visibility for clients.
• Track event sales, progress, and make adjustments to improve event marketing results.
• Engage customers at promotional marketing campaigns to drive sales through register.
• Learn how to effectively manage a campaign from start to finish.
• Participate in additional business development training opportunities.
• Receive further training and development from leadership and management teams to grow within the organization.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of leadership, management, sales, or customer service experience.
• Strong desire to continue learning and developing professional skill sets.
• Exceptional leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and competitive spirit.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to problem solve effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Comfortable speaking in front of both small and large groups.
• Strong desire to work in a leadership or management role.
• Reliable transportation to travel up to 40 miles to retail partners and transport promotional items, displays, and signage.
• Ability to work retail hours.
