The Event Crew 1 position at Biltmore is a vital role that focuses on assisting in the setup and breakdown of various events, including weddings, concerts, exhibitions, and corporate gatherings. This position is particularly crucial during peak event seasons, where the team works diligently to ensure that every event meets the high standards expected by guests. The responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of tasks, from tent installations to equipment delivery and setup, all aimed at creating a world-class experience for attendees. In addition to the physical setup of events, the Event Crew 1 will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, maintaining the warehouse, and ensuring that all equipment is organized and in good repair. The role also includes specific duties related to Biltmore exhibits, such as installation, strike, and maintenance of seasonal displays like Biltmore Railways and Christmas events. Team members will be expected to take direction from managers, supervisors, and technicians, contributing to a collaborative environment that prioritizes guest service and operational efficiency. This position requires a commitment to excellence in service delivery, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Event Crew 1 will play a key role in supporting the overall mission of Biltmore by ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly, reflecting the company’s dedication to quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tent installations and strike.
  • Support the team with equipment setup and delivery such as tables, chairs, and stages.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain the warehouse, including organization, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Assist with Biltmore exhibit installation, strike, and maintenance for events like Biltmore Railways and Christmas displays.
  • Take direction from managers, supervisors, technicians, and support services staff.

Requirements

  • Previous event setup/breakdown and/or equipment experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering world-class internal/external guest service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to take direction and receive instruction as part of a guest service team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail with a focus on quality and service.
  • Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment, prioritize work, and adapt as needed.
  • Ability to represent Biltmore in a professional manner with guests and vendors at all times.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required.
