About the position

The Event Manager - Congress will be a key member of the Pharma Operations team, responsible for overseeing logistics and operations for various congresses. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring that all client needs are met and that events are delivered in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics and operations for various congresses.
• Provide thought leadership and project management for events.
• Manage simultaneous events, sometimes independently and sometimes leading teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure deliverables are met and budgets are balanced.
• Optimize relationships with third-party suppliers and vendors.
• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) for event logistics.
• Travel on-site to manage event requirements and staff for high-profile events.
• Maintain records of financial payments and detailed descriptions of expenses.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with Congress contacts and associated parties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Liberal Arts, Public Relations, or Communications required.
• Three years' experience in the event management industry or two years in ITA Group's Event Management division.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including budget preparation and assessment.
• Experience in negotiations in a business environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical compliance and experience in planning pharmaceutical meetings and congresses.
• Experience in effective communication and relationship building skills.
• Customer service experience in a service-related industry.
