The Event Manager at Trilith Guesthouse in Fayetteville, Georgia, is a pivotal role responsible for the coordination and supervision of group business after it has been booked by the sales and catering department. The Event Manager will also be responsible for generating resumes, addendums, menus, and Event Orders (EOs), as well as managing sleeping room blocks and ensuring effective follow-up with clients. They will need to understand group and catering forecasting, hotel revenue strategy, and event technology to assist clients with menu planning and room setups while adhering to budget constraints. Additionally, the Event Manager will lead pre- and post-con meetings to review group needs and feedback, recognize opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling, and respond to customer trends and issues to enhance future sales prospects. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, as the Event Manager will be expected to deliver excellent service throughout the customer experience and encourage the same from other employees. They will also need to maintain up-to-date details on events and communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth operations. The Event Manager will be visible on the floor, assisting staff as needed, and will take initiative to improve service performance based on their evaluations of issues and resolutions.
