The Event Manager - Franchised position at Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort involves driving revenue through the booking and management of various events, including weddings and corporate conferences. The Event Manager will collaborate with hotel staff, manage contracts, and maintain strong customer relationships while contributing to site inspections and menu planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue by booking and managing events, including weddings and corporate conferences.
• Sell Banquet Food and Beverage services.
• Plan menus and set agendas for events.
• Review contracts and facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events.
• Contribute to site inspections and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Work collaboratively with sales and catering staff to ensure high service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field and/or 2 years of hotel sales experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of event planning and logistics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• 1 year of food and beverage experience.
• Confident and professional appearance.
• Proactive sales approach, assertive and driven to succeed.
• Understanding of market segments, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and economic trends.
• Time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects with desired outcomes.
• Creativity in designing events.
