The Event Manager II serves as the primary client point of contact for assigned meetings and events at the client's campus. This role is crucial in managing meetings and events through the implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives, and execution of logistics, all while providing exceptional customer service. The Event Manager II is responsible for coordinating all program planning and ensuring that the events meet the clients' expectations and objectives. This position requires a consultative approach to overall event management, maintaining and updating project timelines and event workbooks, and effectively communicating logistical requirements for each event. In this role, the Event Manager II will lead regularly scheduled status meetings with clients and service partners throughout the planning stages. They will manage external relationships with various internal service partner departments, including Catering, Facilities, Technology and AV, Executive Production, Security, Transportation, and Janitorial services, as well as third-party suppliers when applicable. The Event Manager II will not have any direct reports or budgetary responsibilities but will report to the Operations Manager, Onsite Events, and work closely with other Event Managers, Onsite Event Specialists, and Event Hosts. The primary responsibilities of the Event Manager II include serving as the main point of contact for event hosts, providing consultative planning to clients and service partners, and ensuring comprehensive meeting services are delivered. This includes outlining deliverables for assigned events, completing project timelines, and facilitating the prompt handling of all event details. The Event Manager II will also coordinate site inspections, maintain open communication with clients, and track changes in the event management system. Additionally, they will work closely with the Onsite Event Specialist to ensure that program objectives are executed and exceeded, leading pre-con meetings and checking event spaces to ensure services are delivered appropriately.
