The Event Manager, Marketing Communications role is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing a diverse event plan that supports both channel and direct sales teams. This position requires a seasoned professional who can work under the direction of the Director of Demand Center while collaborating closely with Channel and Sales Teams. The Event Manager will also engage with the marketing team and company leadership to assess event needs, coordinate schedules, and manage deliverables effectively. In this role, the Event Manager will be tasked with managing the planning and execution of all public-facing events, which include conferences, tradeshows, influencer events, road shows, and customer forums. Additionally, the individual will provide planning and logistical support for internal events and meetings, which can range from local employee gatherings to larger sales conferences. The Event Manager will develop and manage all aspects of the event planning process, including budget management, vendor selection, food and beverage selection, onsite scheduling, speaker coordination, expense tracking, staffing assignments, and travel and lodging arrangements. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Event Manager will work with colleagues across the Marketing Team and in coordination with Sales to ensure proper messaging and consistent branding. This includes gathering input and assessing needs for event design, marketing collateral, and the demand generation and business development process for each event. The Event Manager must manage deadlines and prioritize work to support multiple events that may have overlapping planning schedules. Furthermore, the individual will attend selected events, which may require occasional to semi-frequent travel, to oversee and troubleshoot event execution, ensuring success. The Event Manager will also need to gain a thorough understanding of the product offerings and audience for each event, leveraging available resources both internally and externally to coordinate the necessary details for smooth and successful event execution. This includes liaising with vendors and venues, managing budgets, and ensuring they are adhered to, as well as providing support in sourcing and shipping conference props, supplies, gifts, and more. Lastly, managing internal stakeholder relations is a critical component of this role, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the event planning process.
