About the position

Runtastic Events is seeking a full-time Event Operations Manager to join their team and manage event processes while creating efficiencies in operations to foster growth. Runtastic Events specializes in providing runners with unique, themed racing experiences that also benefit various causes and communities across the state. The Event Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the numerous operations required to execute successful events, which include managing permits, ordering supplies, handling contracts, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring smooth event execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving existing processes and developing new ones that will enhance each race and contribute to the overall growth of Runtastic Events. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as the Event Operations Manager will need to juggle multiple race operations simultaneously. Effective communication is key, as the role involves delegating tasks and following up on assignments to ensure all aspects of the events are managed efficiently. In this position, the Event Operations Manager will fill out, submit, and coordinate necessary permits, contracts, and documents for each event. They will prepare event documents, layouts, diagrams, and instructions for both internal and external use, order equipment and race materials, and maintain organized and functional equipment. Additionally, the manager will find and coordinate volunteer efforts for each event, ensuring that all operational aspects are covered to deliver a successful experience for participants and stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations required for successful event execution including permits, contracts, and volunteer coordination.
  • Prepare event documents, layouts, diagrams, and instructions for internal and external use.
  • Order equipment and race materials for each event.
  • Maintain and organize equipment to ensure it is in working condition.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts for each event.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in event management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency using Google tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret analytics and data.
