About the position

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Sales department within the hotel, focusing on compliance with policies and procedures, staff performance monitoring, and client coordination for events and functions. The role requires flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs and involves direct interaction with clients to ensure their requests and expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with daily operational procedures by the Sales department.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor staff performance and rectify deficiencies in service and job functions.
  • Meet with group coordinators/hosts prior to functions to ensure arrangements are agreeable.
  • Coordinate group requests for changes to scheduled arrangements according to departmental standards.
  • Familiarize with hotel services and local attractions to accurately respond to guest inquiries.
  • Promote a cooperative working environment to maximize productivity and employee morale.
  • Meet with clients to discuss details of their functions and escort them through the property.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
  • Experience in monitoring staff performance and service standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
