The Office of Reservations and Events at the University of Missouri is dedicated to providing comprehensive logistics and service support for events and meetings across the campus, operating seven days a week. This position is responsible for overseeing events in various locations, including the Reynolds Alumni Center, Bond Life Sciences Building, Roy Blunt NextGen Precision Health Building, and the Museum of Art and Archeology, among others. The role requires a proactive approach to planning, anticipating potential issues, and managing complex logistics effectively. In addition to office planning, the Manager will be actively involved in on-site event support, which includes setting up and operating advanced theatrical and event lighting, audio, and video systems. The ability to create and maintain detailed planning documents is essential for coordinating the use of equipment, vehicles, and staffing for each event. The Manager will also prepare operations planning notes to inform crews of their responsibilities and daily activities, ensuring smooth execution of events. Collaboration with other planners and coordinators is vital to clarify and expand on event needs, while also assessing and maintaining the equipment inventory for assigned buildings and the general campus. The Manager will supervise event crews, execute setups, and respond to real-time requests for assistance during events.
