About the position

The Event Manager is responsible for coordinating client needs with building staff to ensure proper setup and smooth operation of events at the Coliseum. This role involves managing both WAE Staff and Contracted Staff during events, working under general supervision according to established procedures. The position requires effective communication and independent judgment to meet the demands of various events.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client needs with building staff for event setup and operation.
  • Manage WAE Staff and Contracted Staff during events at the Coliseum.
  • Ensure smooth operation of events by overseeing logistics and staff coordination.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets related to events.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding event requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or a related field.
  • Three years of full-time equivalent experience in event management.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Three years of administrative experience, including budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
