About the position

The Event Manager at LAZ Parking is responsible for overseeing the parking operations for events, ensuring professional management 24/7 under the guidance of the Senior Manager. This role is pivotal in promoting a people-first leadership culture, which is a core value of LAZ Parking. The Event Manager will support various programs and initiatives from the home office while addressing the specific needs of operational teams during assigned events. The position requires a strong focus on creating a customer-centric culture that values approachability, knowledge, and engagement among team members. In this role, the Event Manager will identify high-potential employees to foster the organization's growth and establish a positive, safety-oriented workplace environment. The manager will oversee the Event department, aligning processes and resource planning with the overall business strategy. Monitoring key performance indicators is essential, as is making operational adjustments to ensure success. The Event Manager must understand and comply with all contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and its clients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance business operations. Additionally, the Event Manager will assist in developing both short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis. Responsibilities include preparing, tracking, and managing events and initiatives throughout the year, managing staff schedules and assignments, and overseeing event operations. The role may also require working outside of regular hours to meet operational needs, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability in scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parking operation for events under the direction of the Sr. Manager.
  • Promote a people-first leadership model by providing resources for employee growth.
  • Create a customer-centric culture that values approachability and engagement.
  • Identify high-potential employees to support organizational growth.
  • Establish a positive safety-oriented workplace environment.
  • Align processes and resource planning with overall business strategy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and make operational adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis.
  • Prepare, track, and manage events and initiatives throughout the year.
  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and development.
  • Work with Event Venue to track events impacting parking.
  • Organize and manage oversight of event operations.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in parking and event management is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs.
