About the position

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Event Manager to join our dynamic team at 512 Boutique Events in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing exceptional service. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing catering staff and ensuring smooth operations during events. You will coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, oversee on-site floor staff on the day of the event, and ensure that all aspects of the event run seamlessly. This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as events may occur at various times. You will also be responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces, serving food and beverages to guests, tending bar, and mixing cocktails. Your goal will be to ensure that guests have a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Manage catering staff and ensure smooth operations during events.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Oversee on-site floor staff on the day of the event.
• Set up and break down event spaces before and after events.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during events.
• Tend bar and mix cocktails as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event management preferred.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Food Handler's Certificate (required).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
