About the position

The Event Management Specialist is responsible for managing and executing brand portfolio sampling and local marketing initiatives within a defined market. This role involves collaboration with local sales teams and Field Marketing Managers to customize events, ensuring brand accuracy and effective execution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with local sales team and Field Marketing Managers to customize and execute events/programs aligned with the brands' sampling platforms.
  • Provides consistent direction, coaching, and communication to maintain brand accuracy.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage part-time Ambassadors.
  • Research, secure, and manage execution of local events and partnerships.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of the event planning process: pre, during, and post duties including personnel, product delivery/distribution, transportation, supplies, contracts, insurance, and permits.
  • Increase market knowledge and identify various groups and organizations with the targeted demographic to partner with.
  • Diligently prepares ambassadors for superior customer interactions and flawless event executions.
  • Leads direction of and oversees brand accuracy in event and partnership execution.
  • Actively participates in all regional events with ambassadors.
  • Execute strategic directions and manage the goals for the assigned region/market.
  • Adhere to deadlines for administrative tasks including reporting and recapping data for the region.
  • Assists in the planning and drives the execution of marketing events and programs.
  • Manage payroll and timesheets.
  • Maintain company assets including storage facilities, inventory, vehicles, and equipment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Event Marketing/Grassroots/Special Event/Promotions and Team Management experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to match your field team to best represent your market.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent oral communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable to changing environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel, in addition to internet usage.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ of the year within the assigned region and ability to work on weekends and evenings.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a background check/drug screening.
