About the position

Apella, located in the Alexandria Science Center, is seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to join our team of hospitality professionals as a Corporate Event Sales Manager at Apella & Riverpark. The ideal candidate will possess restaurant and/or hotel event experience in a high-volume operation with a primary focus on meeting sales goals, event detailing, client relationships, and building brand awareness. This role will be responsible for the selling, planning, executing, and facilitating of events. The incumbent will source and identify new business, outline strategic marketing initiatives, and possess networking and communication competencies. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 1-2 years of relative experience. Responsibilities

  • Sell and plan corporate events at Apella & Riverpark.
  • Execute and facilitate events from start to finish.
  • Source and identify new business opportunities.
  • Outline strategic marketing initiatives to promote events.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to enhance brand awareness.
  • Manage event detailing and logistics to ensure successful execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event sales or management.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
